PROJECTS: STREET PEOPLE

Michael Grecco has always been intrigued with “subcultures.” Here, Michael documents the energy and quirkiness of the boardwalk at Venice Beach. In a place almost frozen in the 60′s and 70′s Michael captures a small world that is home to all kinds of fringe refugees:  hippies, and hipsters, skateboarders, artists, and wide-eyed tourists. His photographs embody the circus that is contained in those few blocks, the variety of performers, and those strolling through, just watching the show.
